15 April 2020 Blog Post: COVID-19 Santa Monica Primary Care Experience

Readers will be familiar at this point with the graph showing point prevalence rates of positive testing here at Santa Monica Care. In our continued effort to provide a description as well as a visual representation of our experience, we now have updated information based on testing performed from our first test on March 11th to our most recent performed April 13th.

You can see graphically a ‘flattening’ of the ‘flattened curve’. Rates of positive tests are continuing below the trendline (light blue line).

It is this type of background rate upon which new data can be superimposed when we begin to reopen commerce and other businesses in order to detect ‘flare ups’. Each week that passes with shelter-in-place is another week of improvement.
